Fig, Apple, and Goat Cheese Crostini


Crostini, or "little toasts," are dressed up with goat cheese, fig preserves, and crisp apple slices to create an elegant and sophisticated appetizer. The sweetness of the fig pairs perfectly with the tang of the goat cheese, and the tart apple provides a nice contrasting texture. An easy appetizer that is sure to impress...

Fig, Apple, and Goat Cheese Crostini
Servings: 4

8 slices of baguette, 1/2 inch thick
2 oz. goat cheese
2 tbsp. fig preserves
8 thin slices of apple

Preheat the oven to 425°. Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until just beginning to crisp. Let cool slightly. Spread a thin layer of goat cheese on each slice, followed by a thin layer of fig preserves. Top with a slice of apple.
